Mrs. Ilean Simpson Jackson, 103, wife of the late Frederick Van Buren Jackson, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dora Masters Simpson, Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a member of Holmes Memorial Church, Greenville. She was a former member of the Greenville Garden Club.

Surviving are a son, Frederick H. Jackson (Linda) of Easley; a daughter, Patricia Ilean Jackson Walker (Leroy) of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Elizabeth Plumtree of Glendale, CA; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two nephews and four nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by four brothers, Leonard, Milford, Edwin and R.T. Simpson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery-West.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
