Inez Alston Beresh

Ruby Inez Alston Beresh, 83, died Sunday, April 20, 2008. A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillie Mae Gillespie Kaiser.
Mrs. Beresh loved children. She and her husband of more than 40 years, Gene, especially enjoyed providing child care for local families' children at their home in Pendleton. Affectionately known as MeeMaw and Poppa, they had a special relationship with John Coleli who they raised. He preceded them in death. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. Many winters she would load up the travel trailer and head to Florida. She enjoyed the sunshine and the many friends she made there.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gene Alston.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3pm at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the former 2nd Baptist Church of Pendleton cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church, 2101 Six Mile Highway, Central, SC 29630.
