Inez M. Parsons

Lillian Inez McJunkin Parsons, 92, of 105 Springdale Lane, wife of the late Weldon Parsons, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late John Hubert and Lillie Stansell McJunkin. Mrs. Parsons was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Easley, where she was assistant teacher of the Joy and T.E.L. Sunday School classes. She previously taught Sunday School at Camp Creek Baptist Church in Six Mile.
Mrs. Parsons was a loving neighbor and blessed with many friends. An avid gardner, she found great delight in sharing plants and flowers with many. She was also very gifted in Interior Design.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth Wyatt and husband, Frank, of Greenville; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Parsons was predeceased by a son, Gerald Parsons, two brothers, Roy McJunkin and J.C. McJunkin, and by a sister, Edna Dobson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jay Allen McJunkin, Ronnie Hamby, Dale Ramey, Stanley McJunkin, Andy Holliday and Danny Pilgrim.
Honorary escort will be the Ann Neil and Frances Eller W.M.U. groups of Easley First Baptist. Also serving as honorary escort will be Barbara Welmaker, Carolyn Justice, Shawn and Tammy Laseter, Kay Bowen, Louise Gallagher, Edwina Crane, Suzie Ethridge and Helen Hood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
