Mrs. Iris Jameson Abercrombie, 92, wife of the late John Mark Abercrombie, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 9, 2017.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Burel Lee and Essie Ellison Jameson, Mrs. Abercrombie was a graduate of Easley High School and retired from Sangamo Electric Company. She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church, Anderson.
Surviving are a son, David Abercrombie (Linda) of Seneca; a daughter, Cheryl A. Parrott (Max) of Calhoun, GA; a brother, Bill Jameson of Easley; a sister, Barbara Gantt of Easley; five grandchildren, Marc and Jason Abercrombie, and Matthew, Maxie and Alyza Parrott; and seven great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dillon, John and Luke Abercrombie, and Meredith, Macey and Maddox Parrott. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Abercrombie was predeceased by one brother, B.L. Jameson; and four sisters, Ruby Jane Burnett, Betty Abercrombie, Mary Lee Nolan and Nannie Mae McCollum.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Tom Owen officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum, Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
