Iris Hood Milhous, 94, of Moore, SC, formerly of Easley, SC, wife to the late Henry "Neely" Milhous, passed away January 4, 2021.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late John and Tempy Wood Hood. Mrs. Milhous was a graduate of the Class of 1943 from Easley High School and worked as a Secretary for Mayfair Mills. She was a founding member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Iris enjoyed sending cards to loved ones, growing roses and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Milhous Varn of Moore, SC. Iris is also survived by her grand puppy, grand horse and many special friends.
Mrs. Milhous is predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings, William Guy Hood, Rev. Edward A. Hood, James Harry Hood, R. Irving Hood, Lula Mae Stansell, Margurite Alexander, Elizabeth Edens and Ann Hughes.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
Friends and family may pay their respects to Mrs. Milhous on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
Due to Covid-19, mask and social distancing will be required.
