Iva Lucille Donohoe, 95, of 232 Grove Drive, Clemson, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Lila Doyle Nursing Home in Seneca.
Born in Clark County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late
David and Ester McAlister. Iva had several jobs outside the home over her lifetime. The last job from which she retired was as a school lunch room worker in Orange County, Florida. She and her late husband Carl, were long-time residents of Inverness, Florida. Iva enjoyed crafts, cooking and church activities.
Surviving are daughters, Kathryn (Lester) Stewart of Merritt Island, FL and Ginny Smith of Clemson, SC; grandsons, Carl (Leslie) Weaver, West Melbourne, FL and Shane (Celeste) Smith, Seneca, SC; great-grandchildren, Tegan Weaver, Savannah Smith and Cameron Smith. Her husband Carl of 76 years, predeceased her by 33 days. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis (Dale) Weaver, a granddaughter, Melinda Dale Weaver and seven siblings.
The family will receive friends, Sunday August 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Pendleton at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pendleton's Youth and Children Departments, P. O. Box 187, Pendleton, SC 29670 or SOUP (Supper On Us Pendleton) P. O. Box 683, Pendleton, SC 29670.
