Ivah Jo Moody Elrod

Ivah Jo Moody Elrod, 89, of Piedmont, South Carolina, wife of the late Jon Robert Elrod, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at her home.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lon Franklin and Josie Lee Moody. Ivah loved picking the blueberries that she grew in her yard and loved vacationing at Edisto Beach. She retired from Belk-Simpson in Greenville as the payroll clerk and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandson.

She is survived by her two sons, Russ Elrod (Jeanise) and Greg Elrod; a sister, Patricia McKinney; and a grandson, Austin Elrod (Elizabeth Lipsey).

In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Lon C. Moody, Leon Moody, and Douglas Moody; and three sisters, Frances Green, Doris Boswell, and Connie Moody.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Bethesda United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow the service in the Church Cemetery.
