Ivy Cleo Cantrell, 89, of 109 Karen Drive, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Oconee Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Thomas Jackson and Stella Gray Cantrell. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served during WWII and was a member of Clemson First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a special loving friend, Patricia Cornwall of the home; a son, Benny Ivy Cantrell of Salt Lake City, UT; and a daughter, Sylvia Spohn and husband Leonard of Pendleton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives, Veora Mulenex Cantrell, Annie Gertrude Cantrell; three brothers, W.O. Cantrell, Morris Cantrell, Ollis Cantrell; and a sister, Edna Hendricks.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home from 1 PM until 2 PM on Friday.
The family is at the home.
