J. C. Barnes, 74, of Central and husband of Betty Seigle Barnes, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Born in Central, he was the son of the late Radford Conley and Susan Iola Heaton Barnes.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Charles Barnes of Central, one daughter, Joni Muchow of Denver, CO; three step-sons, Jamie Wilbanks of Central, Nick Wilbanks, of Ashland, NH and Jody Wilbanks of Guam, 2 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.
Graveside services will be Friday at 4pm at Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2-3:30pm Friday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
