J. Robert (Bob) Eades, Sr., passed away at 7:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Bob was born to J.T. Eades and Lula Wilkinson Eades on September 22, 1930 in Six Mile, SC. He married his devoted wife Nancy A. Burdette Eades on December 27, 1958 in Liberty, SC. Bob attended Clemson University and retired from Jacobs Sirrine after a 35 year career in the pulp and paper division where he held several patents. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Bob was a committed Christian and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church where for years he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees as well as other church offices. His hobbies inclued hiking, biking, gardening, Clemson athletics, and he was an avid reader of history. Foremost Bob cared about and loved his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, J. Robert (Rob) Eades, Jr., (Camille) of Easley and Michelle (Shelley) Eades Long (Dan) of Greenville, SC. He was the beloved "Poppy" of his two granddaughters, Jordan and Alison Eades. He is also survivied by his sister, Rebecca Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Julius, James, Tom, Edward and Paul Eades and sisters, Berta, Willie, Ollie and Jeanette.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
