J.P. "Jake" Morrison of 220 Aiken Street and husband of Helen Gillespie Morrison died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at AnMed Health.
Born in Greer, SC, he was a son of the late Pierce and Minnie Chambers Morrison. J.P. was a retired employee with Central Textiles a member of the Central Masonic Lodge and a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home; son, Robby Morrison of Six Mile, SC; daughters, Gail Whitield (Johnny) of Anderson and Rebecca Davis (Bob) of Starr, SC; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Cothran officiating.
Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM, Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
