Jack Edmond Anthony

Mr. Jack Edmond Anthony, 77, husband of Sylvia Jeanette McConnell Anthony, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019.
Born in Kershaw County, a son of the late William "Bill" George Anthony and the late Ethel King Anthony, Mr. Anthony was a graduate of Dacusville High School, and was the owner and operator of Southern Beauty & Barber Supply in Greenville. He was an involved member of Pelham Road Baptist Church, a volunteer at the Eastside Crisis Center and Miracle Hill Industries. Jack was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.
Jack was a man who loved the Lord, his family and his work. He was joyful always and will be remembered by all as a man who loved to laugh and make others smile. His positive attitude was contagious.
A special "Thank you" to a special friend and caregiver, Shelia Bryant, for the compassionate care given to Mr. Anthony during his illness.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 59 years, are a daughter, Tonya Anthony Crawford (Brian) of Johns Island; three brothers, Kenneth Anthony of Montgomery, AL, George Anthony of Garden City and Randy Anthony of Easley; two sisters, Rita Brooks of North Augusta, SC, and Helen Anthony of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Cody Crawford, Ella Rae Crawford and Cora Crawford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anthony was predeceased by two brothers, William and Allen Anthony; and two sisters, Billie Hunter and Nancy Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 26, 2019 at Pelham Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Easley.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM, at the church, prior to the service.
The family will be at the residence.
