Jack H. Burrell

Jack Henry Burrell, 82, of 305 North B Street, died Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at Oakmont Nursing Center.
Born in Jackson County, N.C., Mr. Burrell was a son of the late Lunnie H. and Susan Nicholson Burrell. He retired after forty-three years of service with Life Insurance Company of Georgia. Mr. Burrell was a member of First Baptist Church Easley, where he belonged to the Coley Cleveland Sunday School Class. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served in Germany.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-nine years, Myra Duncan Burrell of the home; two sons, Ed Burrell and his wife, Joann, of Greenville, and Tommy Burrell and his wife, Anne, of Spartanburg; two brothers, Chris Burrell and his wife, Emma Lou, of Tuckasegee, N.C. and Frank Burrell of Easley; three sisters, Emma Deal of Cullowhee, N.C.; Janie Fowler of Big Ridge, N.C. and Agnes Beck and her husband, Hoyt, of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Shane Burrell of Tulsa, OK, Tifton Burrell and Kristyn Burrell both of Greenville; and one great-grandchild, Emma Burrell of Tulsa, OK. Mr. Burrell was predeceased by a brother, Otto Burrell; and a sister, Margarette Merritt.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Westview Cemetery, Easley with the Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 P.M. Friday.
