Jack H. French, 82, husband of Margaret O'Keefe French, died March 22, 2007 at the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 18 at 2:00pm at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson.
He was born in Pocahontas, VA on August 29, 1924 and was the son of the late Marvin and Mabel Wright French He was a graduate of the University of Virginia and was in hospital supply for 42 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, the Clemson Kiwanis Club where he was a past president. He was also a veteran of WWII serving in Europe with the 84th Infantry Division where he received the Bronze Star.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Jack H. French, II of Charlotte, NC, daughters, Karen T. French of Eden, NC and Katherine Coin of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Early French, Daniel French and James French and sisters, Barbara Ann Bailey and Norma Jean George; grandchildren, Laura Wintemute, Arcelli Back, Erin Panarella, Jamie French, Jason French and Taylor Wintemute. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 193 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson, SC 29631 or to the Alzheimers Association, 521 N. McDuffie St., Anderson, SC 29621.
