Jack J Holcombe

Jack J. Holcombe, 85, of Easley, South Carolina, husband of Barbara Stephens Holcombe, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Jack was born on June 9, 1941, in Pickens County, South Carolina, a son of the late George Jester and Maybelle Porter Holcombe.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jack was a proud and dedicated veteran of the United States Navy and Army, honorably serving his country for 30 years. His years of service reflected the strength of his character and his unwavering dedication to others. Following his military service, Jack built a career with Hitachi, where he worked as an IT Technician. He was a former member of Flat Rock Baptist Church and, in recent years, was a faithful member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in the time they shared together.

Jack is survived by his loving wife; two sons, Don Holcombe (Andria) and Mark Holcombe (Becky), both of Easley, SC; a sister, Mildred Whitmire; his cherished grandchildren, Cami Reid, Dillion (Brittany), Katelyn, Alex Holcombe, Cierra Hunter (Nick); his great-grandchildren, Brayden Reid, Graceland, Caleb, Carson, and soon-to-be Tyler Jack Holcombe.

In addition, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and William Holcombe; a sister, Jean Hendricks; and his former wife, Ann Watson Holcombe.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Rd, Easley, SC 29642, officiated by Reverend Rodney Graham. Following the service, family and friends are invited to remain for a visitation.
