Jack Cecil Jones, 81, of 1345 Old Pendleton Road, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at his home.
Born in Greenville County, the son of the late Gilbert W. and Nellie Hodgens Jones, Mr. Jones retired from Steel Heddle in Greenville and was a member of Powdersville First Baptist Church where in was a former deacon, a member of the Brotherhood, sang in the church choir and belonged to the Men's Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-four years, Lila Allison Jones of the home; a son, Bruce Jones of Easley; a daughter, Ann Rockow of Powdersville; a brother, Denver Jones of Powdersville; three granddaughters, Allison McCoy, Kendra Kelly and Angela Kelly, and three great-grandchildren, Ashleigh McCoy, Meghan McCoy and Nathan Jones.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Brad Atkins and Rev. Dr. Jerry K. Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, may be made to the Van Fund or Sign Fund of Powdersville First Baptist Church, 4212 Highway 153, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the residence.
