Francis "Jack" Powers Mauldin, 85, widower of Joyce Gary Mauldin, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Lila Doyle Nursing Home in Seneca. A native of Central he was a son of the late Joseph Francis and Eva Powers Mauldin. He retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville after 39 years of service. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.

Survivors: brothers, George M. Mauldin, John W. Mauldin, Tom Mauldin; sisters, Helen M. Stevens, Robbie F. Mauldin; stepdaughter, Karen Kunkewitz and her husband Pete, Soddy-Daisy, TN; two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joe Mauldin, Gaines Smith, James Mauldin; sisters, Bessie Black and Doretta Byrd.

Graveside services will be Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central, SC. No visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OMH Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Rd, Seneca, SC 29672.

Family members will be at their respective residences.
