Jack Welborn Pelfrey, 82, of Pickens, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his home.
Born in Oconee County, Mr. Pelfrey was a son of the late Joe Decatur and Jassie Elizabeth Davis Pelfrey. He worked for Singer Company and was sub-contractor for Michelin Tire. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Surviving are a son, Richard T. Pelfrey of Pickens; a daughter, Jackie Ellis of Liberty; eight grandchildren. Mr. Pelfrey was predeceased by a son, Randell Pelfrey.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until Sunday December 23, 2012 at the home, 307 Catherine Street, Pickens SC 29671.
