Mr. Jack Harris Tripp, 67, of Easley, loving husband of Kathy Searcy Tripp, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Jack was born in Greenville on March 4, 1949 to the late Allen Phillips, Sr. and Kathryn Harris Tripp. He graduated from Wren High School in 1967 and received his Associate's Degree in business from Tri-County Technical College. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he was a strong-willed man who loved his Lord, his family, and his Clemson Tigers.
Jack was a charter member with the Three and Twenty Fire Department in Anderson County. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was a charter member of the orchestra. Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Overhead Door Company in Greenville as a purchasing agent.
In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Jack is survived by two sons; Eric Tripp (Angela) and Austin Tripp (Amanda), both of Easley; a brother; Phil Tripp of Easley; and four grandchildren; Bryanna Tripp, Austin Isaiah Tripp, Savannah Opal Tripp, and Keira Nicole Tripp.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642 with the Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and Rev. Chad Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at the home of his son, Eric; 3800 Pelzer Highway, Easley, SC 29642.
Flowers are optional, or the family requests that memorial donations be made to either the Three and Twenty Fire Department, 1301 Three and Twenty Rd, Easley, SC 29642; or the Rock Springs Baptist Church Orchestra, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
