James William Alexander, 76, of Easley and formerly of Pickens, passed away January 16, 2019.
Born in Honea Path, SC, he was the son of the late Otis Alexander and Lillie Mae Cantrell Emery. He was the owner of Alexander Upholstery and also Littlejohn Upholstery and was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
James loved to watch baseball, fish, play golf and also used to referee boxing matches in West Greenville. Most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his two daughters, Teresa Edgar (Marty)and Wanda Adams (Danny); his fiancée, Sue Caldwell; three sisters, Easter Jacobs, Helen Horne and Marie Greene; one brother, Odell Alexander; five grandchildren, Andrea (Scott), Erica (Brett), Megan (Chris), Trey and Liza Adams; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his wife, Shelby Barnette Alexander; his brothers, Charles and Jack Alexander and a granddaughter, Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum - Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00pm - 3:45pm at the funeral home.
