James Duffie Alexander, Jr., 75, of 100 Foxhall Court, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC.

Born in Cashiers, NC, he was a son of the late James Duffie and Claire Veronica Brown Alexander. A graduate of Glenville High School, he attended Fresno City College and was a Veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Alexander was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are four sons, Duffie Alexander, Doug Alexander, both of California, Mike Alexander of Louisiana, David Alexander of Florida; a grandson, James C. Alexander of Easley; and a sister, Patricia Dixon of Knoxville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lou McCall Alexander.
