James E. Bagwell Easley, SC

James Edward Bagwell, 79, beloved husband of the late Tommie Ann Stephens Bagwell, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Charles and Ona Seigle Bagwell.

Mr. Bagwell was a graduate of Wren High School and attended Tri-County Technical College and Greenville Technical College. He retired from BASF in Clemson. He was a 28-year veteran of the USAR, Clemson Unit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard, but most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving is his son, Michael S. Bagwell, and wife, Stephanie, of Easley; grandchildren, Colten J. Bagwell, Crosby S. Bagwell, and Carson Barnes; a sister, Carolyn Pitts of Piedmont; and brothers, Ronnie Bagwell and Ricky Bagwell, both of Easley, and Stanley Bagwell of Piedmont.

In addition to his wife, Tommie, and his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Bagwell, and a sister, Kathy “Karen” Bagwell.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville.
