James Broadus Bishop, Jr.

James Broadus Bishop, Jr., 78, of Greenville, husband of Patsy Alexander Bishop, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home.
Born December 23, 1936 in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James Broadus Bishop, Sr. and the late Mary Sizemore Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a Captain in the US Army Reserves and a graduate of The Citadel. He was the Treasurer of Stevens Beechcraft Aviation retiring with thirty-five years of service. Mr. Bishop was a Mason, a member of the Sam Poe Lodge and a member of Greenville First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife of fifty-four years, he is survived by his daughter, Julia Kay (Kevin); son, Joel Bishop; grandchildren, Julian Kay, Jamie Kay, Mary Grace Kay and Tyler Bishop.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, May 15, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd., Greenville, SC 29607.
