James Bolding

James Wyatt "Jim" Bolding, 91, husband of Ruth Bagwell Bolding, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pickens, SC, Jim graduated from Six Mile High School and afterwards enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country during World War II, where he earned a field grade commission and was decorated with the Bronze Star. He retired from Ira Hardin Construction Company, in Atlanta, GA, where he lived for many years until moving to Salem. Jim was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Six Mile, a Shriner and a Mason.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-five years, are a sister, Lillian Crenshaw; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ben and Lola Winchester Bolding; and a sister, Kathleen Byrd.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Mountain View Baptist Church in Six Mile, SC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Pickens.
Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. Sunday, at the church, prior to the service.
