James Bolt Bryant, Sr., 80, of 217 McNeely Road, died Thursday April 2, 2009 at McCall Hospice House.

Mr. Bryant was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Walter and Irene T. Bryant. He retired from James Bryant Trucking Company where he was a self-employed dump truck driver. He attended Set Free Christian Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Betty McNeely Bryant, of the home ; a son, James B. Bryant, Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Piedmont ; daughters, Donna Allen and her husband, Dennis, Becky Vernon and her husband, Jimmy and Lisa Smith and her husband, Ricky, all of Piedmont ; 8 grandchildren, Kami Shuff, Jamie Vernon, Deedee Pritchard, Tara Goldsmith, Doug Allen, Amanda Vernon, Clint Bryant and Ryan Smith and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley, with the Reverend James L. Julian, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Becky and Jimmy Vernon, 218 Bentwood Drive, Piedmont.
