James "Jim" Carter -
Easley, SC

Mr. James Harold "Jim" Carter, 71, husband of Dianne Perry Carter, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville, a son of the late Clarence Ben and Laura Gardo Carter, Mr. Carter was a graduate of Parker High School and attended Lees-McCrae College. He served in the US Army, retired from Platt Saco Lowell and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, Todd Carter (Lisa) of Easley; two brothers, David L. Carter (Martha) of Macon, GA and Ren Bell (Iris) of Greenville; one sister, Frances Strickland of Easley; and two grandchildren, Matt and Kaitlyn Carter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carter was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Bell.

Memorial services will be Noon Monday, January 30, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family is at the residence, 107 Biltmore Circle, Easley, SC 29642.
