James Carlton Chapman, 67, husband of Joann McGill Chapman, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Melvin and Grace Patterson Chapman, he worked in textiles and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Norris. He was a Navy Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife are, three sons, Richard and Kenny Chapman and Scott Yates; a daughter, Sherry Rector, twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chapman was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Chapman; two brothers, Waddy and Ronnie Chapman; one sister, Bunt Dove.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Norris.
Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
