Mr. James "Jimmy" Leroy Chism, 75, husband of the late Peggy Jo McCraken Chism, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Born in Seneca, SC, a son of the late Willard Thomas Chism and the late Cora Mauldin Chism, Mr. Chism retired from Greenville Mechanical, was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.

Jimmy loved the outdoors and camping, but his greatest love was for his family and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Surviving are his son Tim Chism (Christy) of Piedmont; his daughter, Linda Chism of Whitmire; two brothers, Jerry Chism (Vicki) of Easley, and Keith Chism of Greenville; two sisters, Shirley Cantrell of Anderson, and Judy Fowler of Pickens; his grandchildren, T.J. Chism, Cameron Richards and Tierston Miller; and his two great-grandchildren, D.J. Miller and Remi Richards. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Chism was predeceased by a brother, Gene Chism.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
