James “Jim” Cohee, 76, of Easley, South Carolina, beloved husband of Barbara Smith Cohee, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
He was born on March 9, 1949, in Easton, Maryland, to the late Norris Cohee and Mary Jane Legates Cohee. Jim’s career began as a Pricing Clerk with Preston Trucking in Preston, Maryland. He eventually became Director of Pricing. After that company was sold, he moved to South Carolina and eventually purchased The UPS Store in Easley and Powdersville. Jim and Barb joined the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Powdersville and became active members of their beloved church and realized this was the church of wonderful, caring, and Christ-centered people.
Outside of his professional life, Jim found joy in golfing with friends. His ability to cherish both work and leisure contributed to the wonderful life he led, and he will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara, his son, Gregory Cohee of California; his brother, Gary A. Cohee of Florida; his sister, Brenda Jane Harper (David) of Maryland; his granddaughter, Erin Cohee; his grandson, John Cohee; and Barbara’s grandson, Kyle Katter.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Service details will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
