James Edward Cole, Sr.

Mr. James Edward Cole, Sr., 81, husband of the late Carolyn Newell Cole, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at his home.
Born in Oconee County, the son of the late Thomas Millard and Mildred Lois Shirley Cole, Mr. Cole was a retired SGT. with the South Carolina Highway Patrol where he served from 1958 until 19 78. James later retired from Michelin with fifteen years of service and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Surviving are a son, James Edward Cole, Jr. (Kay) of Easley; a daughter, Elaine Cole Lockhart(Kenny) of Easley; two sisters, Shelby Woolbright of Seneca and Mary Ransom of Cleveland, TN; and two grandchildren, Tyler Bradley and Adison Caroline Dacus.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Reflections Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens with SC Highway Patrol honors.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM Thursday in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum, prior to the service.
