James Edward Daves

Mr. James Edward Daves, 74, of Duke Street, Easley, loving husband of Joyce Turner Daves, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Mr. Daves was born in Arcadia, SC on March 15, 1940 to the late Jim and Flonnie Phillips Daves. He was a retired machinist with Cornell - Dubiler and loved being outdoors. He loved swinging on the front porch of the house and was an excellent lawn mower mechanic.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by two step-sons; William Burckhalter and his wife Patsy of Easley, and Kevin Burckhalter of Kentucky; a daughter, Ginger Michelle Bradley and her husband Scott of Tennessee; four sisters; Juanita Larry of Dallas, NC; Malita Rudrill and her husband Walt of Dallas, NC; Regina Turner of Shelby, NC; and Laura McSwain of Bessemer City, NC. Mr. Daves is also survived by five grandchildren; BJ Burckhalter, Lacey Burckhalter, Amanda Bradley, Austin Bradley, and Audry Bradley; and one great - grandchild, Jaxon Higgins.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Daves was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Nichols.
Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Rev. Lawrence Keever officiating.
The family is at their respective homes.
