Mr. James Alton Hendricks, 85, husband of Frances Arnold Hendricks, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Cottingham Hospice House, Seneca.
Born in Pickens County a son of the late Matthew Lattimore and Lillian Smith Hendricks, Mr. Hendricks was the retired owner and operator of James Hendricks Builders and a member of Kings Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-six years, are three sons, Arnold Becker (Beth) of Boiling Springs, Rick Hendricks (Diane), and Ronnie Hendricks (Donna), all of Central; two daughters, Judy Taylor (Johnny) of Seneca, and Debbie Bell (Tommy) of Central; one sister, Hazel Patterson of Liberty; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendricks was predeceased by three brothers, Leroy, John Ivy and Hubert Hendricks; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Kings Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Thursday at the church, prior to the service.
The family is at the home.
