James E. "Jimmy" Howard Jr., 85, husband of Laura Patricia Howard, passed away at his home December 22, 2020.

Born in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of the late James E. Howard, Sr. and Virginia Webb Howard. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Mechanical Engineer for twenty years before retiring and serving in the Navy Reserves for another four years. Jimmy also worked at Michelin for nearly seventeen years before retiring. He greatly enjoyed deer hunting, dirt track racing in his younger years and traveling with his family. He was also a huge history buff who enjoyed watching the history and military channels on TV.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years and sons, Kelley D. Howard (Wendy) of Greenville and James E. "Butch" Howard, III of Easley.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Michael Howard.

A graveside memorial service will be held December 30, 2020 at 2PM at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will accept mourners after the service at the family's home, 188 Slickum Road Easley, SC 29640.

Flowers may be accepted or memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice at 1836 W Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680 or Shriners Hospitals for Children at 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
