James "Jimmy" F. Robinson, 88, lifelong and prominent member of the Dacusville community, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Jimmy was born on October 14, 1937 in Pickens County, South Carolina to the late William J. and Hallie Shockley Robinson.
Jimmy was a member of and served as a deacon for many years at Nine Forks Baptist Church. He was the owner of Robinson Grading, where he spent his life doing the thing he loved most, operating his earth-moving heavy equipment with his sons. He was mostly known for the many years he hosted the Dacusville Farm Days on his property that has been in the Robinson family for many generations.
Jimmy enjoyed reading about history and American wars, watching old westerns and driving around with his dog, Misty. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to his craft.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frankie and Kelley Robinson, a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sue Robinson; grandchildren, Spencer Robinson (Ashley), Brittany Roper (Craig), Brooks Robinson (Blair), Kelsey Porter (Zane), and Seth Robinson (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Tucker and Tynley Robinson, Remi, Beckett, and Judson Roper, Bristol and Boone Robinson, Smith, Shepherd and Shockley Robinson, and Clive and Scottie Porter; many nephews and nieces; and his stepdaughter, Belinda Haygood.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Jeanette Massey Robinson; his sons, Randy and Danny Robinson; a great granddaughter, Landry Roper; his second wife, Jane C. Robinson; a brother, Joe Robinson; his sister, Sue Batson; and a step-grandson, Robbie Haygood.
Funeral service will be held on 1:30 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown with burial following in Nine Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown.
