James "Neal" Lancaster, 81, formerly of Manning, SC, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Rutherford County Hospital.
Born in Concord N.C., a son of the late Julian Lionell and Lillie Crotts Lancaster, Mr. Lancaster retired as plant Manager with Textron, Inc. after eighteen years of service. He was member of Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church, and Spindale Masonic Lodge 673. Mr. Lancaster was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Army.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Trout Lancaster, of the home; a son, James Lionell Lancaster and wife, Jill, of Easley; a brother, Ray Howard Lancaster of Annapolis, MD; a sister, Marian Buchanan of Rutherfordton, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Dorie Lancaster.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1133, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
