Rev. James E. Lesley

Reverend James Edward Lesley, 84, formerly of 396 Robert P. Jeanes Road, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.
Born in Walhalla, SC, he was a son of the late William Harrison and Effie Smith Lesley. Reverend Lesley retired from Woodside Mills and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Greenville. He served as an Evangelist from West End Baptist Church and was an U.S. Air Force veteran of W.W. II.
Surviving are a daughter, Marcia Lesley Ramey and husband Bruce of Easley; five grandchildren, John Elliott Ramey, Mitchell Dean Ramey, Elizabeth Ann Ramey, Jennifer Louise Brown and Cassandra Denise Preis ; and twelve great-grandchildren ; a brother, Franklin Lesley, of Pickens ; two sisters, Patsy Simmons, of Easley and Etta Marchbanks Sanders, of Greenwood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ramey Lesley, a sister, Christine Atkinson and a brother, Charles Lesley.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Ken Bryson officiating.
