James W. Lockaby, 88, husband of Alpha Dalton Lockaby, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
Born in Greenville, a son to the late Walter A. Lockaby and the late Sarah Helen Davis Lockaby, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed fishing, knife collecting, and spending time with his family. Mr. Lockaby retired from John D. Hollingsworth after many years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of seventy years, are a son, James W. Lockaby, Jr. (Jana) of Kaufman, TX; daughters, Kay Seymour (Larry) of Powdersville and Sherry Pelletier (Will) of Simpsonville; a brother, Sam Lockaby (Dot) of Mauldin; a sister, Mary Staton of Greer; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Martha Steading.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. A private burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, immediately following the service.
