James Aubrey Marlowe, 91, widower of Clara Mae Taylor Marlowe, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Aubrey was born in Royston, GA, a son of the late Ed and Icie Eberhart Marlowe. He was a retired Chief Plumbing Inspector with the City of Greenville for 40 years and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Aubrey was a mason and he loved fishing, gardening and built houses and bird houses as a hobby.
Surviving are his son, Randy Marlowe and his wife, Christa of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Janet Baker and her husband, John of Houston, TX; brothers, Harold Marlowe of Lubbock, TX, Richard Marlowe of Savannah, GA and Billy Marlowe of Lawrenceville, GA; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Aubrey was predeceased by a brother, Joe Edward Marlowe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021 at Siloam Baptist Church in Powdersville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the family requests that facial coverings be used and that social distance protocols be observed.
