Mr. James Terry Moore, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, January 30, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late James "Pick" Moore and the late Carrie Chapman Moore. Mr. Moore retired from the Easley Police Department and served on Easley City Council for three terms. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Terry loved his hometown of Easley and serving his fellow citizens, but his greatest love was for his family, especially his grandson, Elliott. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.   

Surviving are his son, Dr. Lee Moore (Donna) of Easley; two sisters, Shirley Duncan Stewart of Easley, and Diane Rogers of Central; a brother, Danny Moore of Easley; his grandson, Elliott Matthew Moore of Charleston; his niece and nephew, Joan Duncan (Al) of Pickens, and Joey Duncan (Cathy) of Easley; his great-nephews, Robbie Duncan (Tiffany) of Easley, and Joe Duncan (Carolyn) of Irmo; and his great-great-niece and nephew, Kenleigh Duncan and Paul-David Duncan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Moore. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2023 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Dave Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Moore to the charity of one's choice.
