Mr. James Robert Neely, 72, of Greenville, loving husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Gentry Neely, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at McCall Hospice House.


James was born in Spartanburg County on May 31, 1943 to the late William Henry and Ruby Mae Taylor Neely. He worked as a truck driver and in his free time he loved to fish, boat, camp, cook out, and spend time with his family. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and attended Forestville Baptist Church in Greenville.


James is survived by a son; Furman Vaughn (Jamie) of Easley; two daughters; Crystal Kicklighter (Chad) of Easley and Sheryl Robinson (Dwane) of Ware Shoals; and three brothers; Earl, Harold, and Charles Neely. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


In addition to his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Jimmy Neely; and a brother; Ralph Neely.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. Interment will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.


The family will be at their respective homes, and flowers are optional, or memorial donations may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
