James O. Orr

James Oliver Orr, 91, of 129 Orr Hill Road and husband of the late Edith Rumsey Orr, passed away Thursday November 17, 2011 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.
Mr. Orr was born in Easley, a son of the late Gaston and Mamie Merritt Orr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and a recepient of the Bronze Star and the Oakleaf Cluster. He retired from Franklin Dye & Yarn Company in Greenville and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Brenda Orr Garmon and her husband, James and Vicky Orr Bolt and her husband, Jim, all of Powdersville, and Judy Orr Kimbrell and her husband, Roy, of Inman, SC; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie J. Orr and Timothy O. Orr.
Graveside services and burial will be 2:30 PM Saturday in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. D.L. Bundrick officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
The family is at their respective homes.
