James Daniel "Dan" PalmerLiberty, SC

Mr. James Daniel "Dan" Palmer, 77, of 2805 Anderson Highway, Liberty, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

Dan was born in Greenville on February 19, 1938 to the late William Robert and Sally Daniel Palmer. He graduated from Parker High School and was of the Baptist Faith. Dan worked as a salesman for Sitton Buick and retired from Crane Chevrolet. He loved to fish, play golf, watch NASCAR, and was an avid gospel music fan.

Dan is survived by three daughters; Laurie Murphy (Brent), of Lyman; Jennifer Turner (Jonathan), of Piedmont; and Sally Palmer-King of Simpsonville; his lifelong companion; Gail Burrell; a brother; Edward Palmer of Pennsylvania; and a sister; Fay Palmer Davis (Sid), of Florida. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and his former wife; Becky Palmer.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son; Arnold Palmer; a daughter; Dena Rhodes; a brother; "Bobby" Palmer; and a grandson; Hunter Rhodes.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Sally, 102 Millstone Way, Simpsonville, SC 29681.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd, Greenville, SC 29615.
