Mr. James Russell Poole, 86, of 109 Powers Drive, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at his home.
Born November 19, 1925 in Salley, S.C., Mr. Poole was a son of the late Henry and Lottie Williamson Poole. He retired from Digital Equipment Corporation in Greenville and was a member of Brandon Baptist Church. Mr. Poole was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Mildred Ross Poole of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Anna Poole, and a granddaughter, Libby Poole, all of Duncan.
The committal service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon�??s International Greenville Camp, P.O. Box 771, Greenville, SC 29602.
The family is at the home.
The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their loving care.
