Horace James Ramey, 67, of 124 Johnson Holler Drive, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Majesty Health & Rehab.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late William A. and Mamie Summers Ramey, James was formerly employed with Sears and was member of Glassy Mountain View Independent Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Fant Ramey of the home; a son, Ricky Ramey of Marietta; grandson, Colton Ramey; granddaughter, Kaylee Porter; four brothers, Lewis Ramey of Greenville, Curtis Ramey, Mike Ramey and Eugene Ramey, all of Easley; four sisters, Dellie Bridges, Nellie Moon and Jane Arnold, all of Easley, and Luellen Dare of Pickens. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by three sisters.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the residence.
