James Edward Richardson, Sr.
Easley, SC

James Edward Richardson, Sr., 76, husband of Margaret Burdine Richardson, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

Born in Hartwell, GA, he was a son of the late Broadus and Larcie Belle McDowell Richardson.

Mr. Richardson was an avid hunter and farmer and a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of over 55 years, Mr. Richardson is survived by sons, James Edward "Jamie" Richardson, Jr. (Beth) and Jeffrey David "Jeff" Richardson both of Easley; a brother, Donald Richardson (Janice) of Easley; five grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Scott Richardson, Sr.; and sister, Virginia Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Easley. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Easley.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at the church.

The family requests that the CDC guidelines in wearing masks and social distancing be followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Rock Baptist Church, 1667 Cedar Rock Church Road, Easley, SC 29640 or Cottingham Hospice House, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
