James Gordon Rodgers, 87, died Friday, May 3, 2019.
A graduate of N.C. State University, Jim was a licensed professional engineer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. Jim worked for many years at American Enka in Central, SC and retired from BASF in Anderson, SC.
Jim was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Clemson and founded the Memorial Garden there. He loved woodworking and built many bluebird houses through the years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 64 years, Cynthia Rodgers; daughter, Audrey Rodgers Bodell; son, Eric Rodgers; grandchildren, Sara and Stewart Bodell and Heather and Forest Rodgers; a great grandchild, River Rodgers; and a sister, Laura Barringer.
A private family service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Memorial donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Jim Rodgers Memorial Garden, 230 Pendleton Road, Clemson, SC 29631.
