James Paul "Jimmy" Rogers, 58, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence in Greenville.
Born in Greenville, to the late Paul Elijah and Cleo Revis Rogers, Jimmy was a graduate of Easley High school and attended Furman University. After college, he began selling life insurance, a profession that he greatly enjoyed because of all the people he got to meet and places he got to see. He worked for many different companies throughout his lengthy career but was most recently employed by American General. When he wasn't working, Jimmy loved to golf, go fishing, go dancing or just meet up with friends. Mr. Rogers was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley.
Surviving are three sons, Andy Rogers (Katie), Benji Rogers (Becca) and Casey Rogers (Kristen); a sister, Nancy Owens (Ken); and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the Reverend Jim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
