James Sheridan

December 16, 1944 — February 14, 2016

James "Jimmy" Sheridan, 71, of Easley, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 in his home.


Jimmy was born in Anniston, AL on December 16, 1944 to the late Cauthen Carey Sheridan and Nettie Lou Bridges Sheridan.   He loved his horses and his dog, Abbey.   Jimmy was caring and the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back, then work to provide you with another shirt later.   He was a member of Slabtown Baptist Church.


He married the love of his life, Brenda Ann Bloodworth, August 28, 1962, and they spent 53 years together before her passing April 2015.


In addition to his parents and wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Carey "Junior" Sheridan.


Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Debra Sheridan of the home; two brothers, Don Sheridan (Belinda) and Kenneth Sheridan, both of Easley; sister, Pheobe Clardy of Easley; brother-in-law, Dell Bloodworth of Olathe, Kansas.   He is also survived by special friend, Inez Hendricks of Easley.


Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, February 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, with the Rev. George Tate, Rev. Wayne Dickard and Rev. Robert Dickard officiating.   Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.


Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.


Flowers are optional, or memorial donations may be made to Slabtown Baptist Church, 6918 Old Greenville Hwy, Liberty, SC 29657.
