James Edward Sloan, Jr.

James Edward Sloan, Jr., 61, of Easley, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at McCall Hospice House.
Born November 28, 1953 in Fort Kilmer, NJ, he was a son of the late James and Betty Masters Sloan. Mr. Sloan was a patriotic simple man who enjoyed fishing, rodeos and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a US Army Air Borne Ranger serving in Panama and was an engineer with General Electric with over twenty years of service.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his daughters, Lori Sloan Kocher (David) and Jamie Sloan Kiles (Richard); the mother of his children, Mary Jane Anderson; grandchildren, Tucker Perry, Savannah Perry, Peyton Baker, Jackson Kocher and Sarah Kocher; niece Brandi Allen; and sister-in-law, Sammy Sloan Richards.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Scott Sloan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
