James Taulbee, 71, of 1325 Saluda Dam Rd., husband of Carolyn Williams Taulbee of the home, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born October 29, 1939, in Harlan County Kentucky, a son of the late Jackson and Viola Marcole Taulbee. He served proudly in the US Army.
In addition to his wife of 21 years, he is survived by his sons, Richard Taulbee (Barbara) and Kevin Taulbee all of KY.; step-sons, Junior Goodnough (Lorine), Scott Goodnough (Shannon), Gene Goodnough, all of Easley, Michael Walker (Lynn), of Pelzer; step daughter, Rose Ann Bowers (Perry) of Easley; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jimmy Ray Taulbee; brother, Raymond Taulbee; and sister, Pauline Taulbee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:45 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Rose Ann Bowers, 585 Latham Rd., Easley, SC 29640.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29625.
